A Revolution Betrayed

As the revolution was unfolding in Egypt, Yuliya Tymoshenko wrote about ‘her’ betrayed revolution. She was the prime minister of Ukraine and is now leader of the opposition.
I will not bother with saying what she said better, but she, in memory of her revolution, is warning us of a grave mistake. The belief that free elections is what is needed for a democracy. Democracy is much more than just elections since that all can easily be unraveled, as she is seeing in Ukraine.
